Meet Zoey! The newest addition to our little Earl family. This Friday she will be 11 weeks old and couldn't be more adorable. It's hard to believe it's been almost four weeks since we brought the little miss home.

So I have discovered there's a reason puppies are so cute--they are A LOT of work. Sleeping in is a thing of the past. We love the little miss a lot but she is quite a little torpedo full of energy and destruction. She's teething and seems to think that I'm her personal chew toy. And dang it, puppy teeth are sharp. Like seriously. We start puppy school next week and it can't come fast enough. We all need help!

So far this week Zoey has torn a hole in my leggings every morning. Last night she peed 7 times in the space of an hour because she had consumed too much water, too fast for her tiny bladder to handle. All of our throw rugs have been destroyed and we can't keep magazines on the coffee table because she's developed a slight paper fetish over the last week or so.

Two weeks ago I started a new job. On my first day when I came home I found an upset Zoey in a very stinky, poopy crate. Oh was that fun to clean up. Poor thing. I felt so bad for the little nugget. She's adjusted now, thank goodness, and only had one other accident since I started working again.

This past weekend Zoey and I got to meet Aiden and Brennan for the first time. We did a casual meet n' greet at the Lowe's in Farmington and everyone did really well. Zoey was a big hit with the boys and she was a perfect little angel. They took turns petting her as she gave them kisses. It was adorable.  

Having a puppy is no easy task but it is very rewarding. I can't believe how much Zoey has grown and changed already. She's a lot of work now but I know she's going to be a great family dog for us. She tests Dale's and my patience everyday. It's been good for us to learn how to work together to care for and teach her how to behave. We've still got a ways to go but we'll get there. All in good time!
